Cal State Northridge Hall of Fame Seeks New Inductees in 2014

Nomination Form

Northridge, Calif. – The CSUN Athletic Department is seeking nominations for deserving former Matador student-athletes, teams, coaches and administrators for induction into the Matador Hall of Fame Class of 2014.
The newest members of the 2014 Matador Hall of Fame will be honored at a banquet in February (2014) at the Warner Center Marriott Hotel.
Many outstanding student-athletes have worn the Matador colors of Red, White and Black since CSUN opened its doors in 1958. An elite group of 112 student-athletes, former administrators, coaches and two teams representing 18 sports have been inducted into the Matador Athletic Hall of Fame.
The first CSUN Hall of Fame class was inducted in 1981 that included Dick Enberg (former assistant baseball coach and now distinguished national broadcaster), former Matador and Angels baseball star Lyman Bostock, and former CSUN track and field champion and Olympian Julie Brown.
“CSUN has a rich tradition in athletics, and we would like to continue honoring past student-athletes and teams who distinguished themselves while competing for CSUN,” said Athletic Director Dr. Brandon Martin.
Any interested person may nominate a candidate by submitting an approved nomination form to The Matador Athletics Hall of Fame Committee. All nominations, in written form, must be submitted to the Committee by September 1, 2013, for consideration for induction in February, 2014.  To obtain a nomination form, click on the attached pdf link (nomination form in pdf format) listed at the top of this press release.
