Reserve Your Spot for CSUN Night at the LA Galaxy
NORTHRIDGE, Calif. -
Cal State Northridge fans are invited to attend CSUN Night at
the LA Galaxy on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 7:30 p.m. The LA Galaxy will
host the Vancouver Whitecaps at the Home Depot Center in a MLS
regular season match.
This special night is offered to all CSUN fans to support Matador
Men’s Soccer team alumnus Sean Franklin (2008), as he and the
LA Galaxy press on toward the MLS playoffs. The first 250 fans that
purchase these special sideline seating discounted tickets, located
in section 136, will have an opportunity to attend an autograph
session with Sean Franklin post-match at the Home Depot Center.
Franklin, in his fourth MLS season, was named the 2008 MLS Rookie
of the Year for his defensive work and has been called up to the
U.S. National Team twice, making his debut for his country on
January 22, 2011 by playing all 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw against
Chile.
He has started to come into his own in the offensive strategy for
the Galaxy, as evidenced by his six assists in 2010 and his four
goals and two assists this season. All four scores in his career
have come in 2011, with half of that total coming in his most
recent match, a 2-2 draw with Sporting Kansas City on September
5.
The four-year standout for the Matadors was taken with the fourth
overall pick in the 2008 and was a three-time All-Big West First
Team selection while at CSUN. His most recent accolade came when he
was named to the 2011 MLS All-Star Game First XI.
