Brett Sanders has been a member of the Academic Services for Student-Athletes office at Cal State Northridge since 2003.

A graduate of CSUN, Sanders has numerous responsibilities related to the academics of Matador student-athletes. Sanders provides academic support to student-athletes by overseeing the Mentoring & Tutoring Programs as well as the various technology programs.

He assists student-athletes with individual instruction in study skills, self-assessment and learning strategies, time management and organizational skills. He helps educate student-athletes regarding their individual learning profiles, styles and strengths and weaknesses.

Sanders collaborates with academic entities and coaches to develop Individual Learning Plans for student-athletes and monitors their academic progress.

Prior to joining the Matadors, Sanders worked at California Lutheran University within their School of Education and California State University, Channel Islands within their Academic Advisement center.

Sanders is a Cal State Northridge alumnus where he received his bachelor's degree in Sociology in 2001. Sanders received his Master's degree in Educational Counseling from California Lutheran University in 2005.
