CSUN Baseball Hosting 2016 Bob Hiegert Golf Classic and Baseball Alumni Weekend

Baseball Alumni Weekend Registration
NORTHRIDGE, CA---
With a new season on the horizon, CSUN Baseball will be hosting the program's Baseball Alumni Weekend and 3rd Annual Bob Hiegert Golf Classic from Jan. 30-Feb. 1st, 2016 sponsored by Northwestern Mutual. Registration is now open for all events including the Bob Hiegert Golf Classic.Â

The weekend's festivities will kick off on Saturday, Jan. 30Â with an Alumni Social held at Taps Valley Gastropub at 5 p.m in Northridge, CA. The event is free and open to all CSUN Baseball Alumni.Â
On Sunday, the 2016 Baseball team will square off with Matador Baseball Alumni in the annual contest at Matador Field. A number of new Matadors are set to see their first action in a CSUN uniform along with a number of returning Matadors competing for the first time in 2016. The contest also gives many former Matadors an opportunity to return to Matador Field and showcase their skills once again on the baseball diamond. Batting practice will begin at 11 a.m. with a first pitch set for 12 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
To participate in either the Alumni Social or Alumni Game, RSVP is required.Â
The weekend will conclude on Monday, Feb. 1 as CSUN Baseball will host the 3rd Annual Bob Hiegert Golf Classic at Porter Valley Country Club in Northridge, CA. The classic is a benefit for the CSUN Baseball program and registration is required for the event. At the golf classic, check-in will take place at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start time set for 10:30 a.m. Dinner is scheduled to be held at 5 p.m. following the event.Â
