Sophomore guard Stephan Hicks continues to lead CSUN in scoring through the Matadors' first 11 games of the 2012-13 season. After finishing with 17 points in a loss at Arizona State, Hicks is averaging a team-high 17.7 points per game.
He also helped the Matadors stop a two-game skid with a 120-69 win over Vanguard on December 5. In the game, Hicks went 9-for-12 from the floor, including 1-for-2 from beyond the arc. Hicks made all four of his free throw attempts as well to lead Northridge with 23 points in 22 minutes.
In addition, Hicks pulled down 10 rebounds against the Sun Devils to record his fourth double-double of the year.
For the season, Hicks is averaging 8.4 rebounds while shooting 53.5 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from 3-point range and 86.4 percent from the free throw line.
