NORTHRIDGE, Calif. –
With new head coach Greg Moore at the helm, the Cal State Northridge Matadors baseball program will hold a one-day camp for high school and junior college players on July 28, 2013 at Matador Field. The camp, "A Day in the Life of a Matador Baseball Player," will give players the opportunity to experience a typical day as an NCAA Division I baseball athlete.
The goal is for each participant to leave with a good understanding of what it takes to be a successful collegiate baseball player both on and off the field. The camp will begin with a session in the weight room before the players will spend time in a classroom setting.
Following lunch, on-field instruction will be provided and participants will compete in a scrimmage in the afternoon. Overall, the camp is scheduled to run from 8:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.
The cost to attend the camp is $150 per player and parking for Matador Field is available for $6 in Lot E6 at the corner of Halsted and Lindley Avenues, adjacent to the ballpark. All participants will be required to fill out both an online registration form and a Cal State Northridge Camp Waiver before being allowed to attend.
