Jordon Twohig is in his first season as an assistant coach at Cal State Northridge after spending the last three seasons at the University of Washington. At CSUN, Twohig will serve as the Matadors recruiting coordinator, as well as running the team’s offense. In addition, Twohig will coach the outfielders and instruct CSUN’s base runners.

While at Washington, Twohig aided in the program’s recruiting and academic efforts. In 2011. Twohig assisted in amassing a nationally recognized recruiting class (#30) at UW, according to Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. In 2013, the Huskies recorded the highest team GPA (3.00) in the program’s history. On the field Twohig assisted in the hitting efforts, coached third base and coached the Husky outfielders. Three of his outfielders signed professional contracts along with five earning All-Pac 12 honors in his time in Seattle.

Twohig came to the University of Washington after leading Ohlone College, in Fremont, Calif., to the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championship in 2010. The win was the first state championship at Ohlone College in any team sport. Twohig’s 2010 team went 37-10 overall and were 20-5 in Coast Conference play. Ohlone College finished the year ranked No. 3 in the nation according to Perfect Game USA's junior college poll. Twohig was honored as the 2010 ABCA Diamond/National Coach of the Year. Ohlone also boasted eight all-conference players, including two all-American selections, the state's pitcher of the year and three players who were selected in the Major League Draft. The Renegades hit .314 overall and finished in the top 10 in every major offensive category including second in home runs.

In 2009, Twohig guided the Renegades to their first league title in 18 years and a trip to the state super-regionals in his first season as a head coach. Twohig was named the Coast Conference Coach of the Year, while the team finished ranked No. 19 in the nation, notching eight first-team all-league selections. The Renegades hit .328 as a team, and finished in the top five of California in home runs, RBI, stolen bases, hits, and doubles.

In his three seasons at Ohlone, Twohig guided the Renegades to a 94-43 record, winning two regional championships, a super-regional championship, and a state title, while helping bolster a team GPA of 3.2.  A total of 41 players moved onto to four-year schools in that time. He spent the 2007-08 season as the Associate Head Coach and recruiting coordinator at Ohlone before taking over as Head Coach in 2008.

Twohig came to Ohlone after serving as an assistant coach at St. Mary's College of California in Moraga, Calif., for two seasons. He began his coaching career in 2003 as an assistant coach at Feather River Community College in Quincy, Calif.

Twohig played his college ball first at Feather River CC as an outfielder before earning a full scholarship to Bellevue University (Omaha, Neb.). He finished up his career with York College of Nebraska, where he hit .363 with seven home runs and 61 RBIs as a senior in 2003. In both 2002 and 2003, York reached the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament and Twohig was named to the All-Conference team both seasons while earning Academic All-American honors in 2002 with a 4.0 GPA.

Twohig earned his bachelor’s degree, with honors, in education with an emphasis in secondary education and physical education from York College in 2003. He completed his master’s degree in sports administration from United State Sports Academy in 2004.
