Northridge Baseball Game vs. UCLA to be Contested at Matador Field

Northridge Baseball Game vs. UCLA to be Contested at Matador Field
NORTHRIDGE, Calif. -- Fans hoping to catch the matador take on the No. 1 UCLA Bruins will have an easier time doing so on Tuesday. The game, originally scheduled for 6 p.m. at UCLA's Jackie Robinson Stadium, has been moved to Northridge and will be rescheduled for 2 p.m.

The entire Southern California area was hit by storms all weekend, and Jackie Robinson Stadium felt the brunt of it. By Saturday, the turf was covered in pools that kept the team from hosting the Oklahoma Sooners. By Monday, the conditions hadn't improved and the schools struck a deal to move the game to Matador Field.

Matador Field made out well enough and was in fair enough shape to host the Matadors' victory over Northwestern Sunday afternoon.

Drew Muren will get the ball for the matadors and will be opposed by Matt Drummond of UCLA. Muren's first pitch will be delivered at 2 p.m.
