CSUN Head Coach Reggie Theus to Throw Out First Pitch at Dodger Stadium
NORTHRIDGE, Calif. –
CSUN head men's basketball coach and NBA legend Reggie Theus will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 16 prior to the game featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers at 6:10 p.m. Originally from Inglewood, Calif., Theus played 13 seasons in the NBA and is one of seven players to score at least 19,000 points and dish out more than 6,000 assists in league history.
In one season as head coach at CSUN, Theus took the Matadors to the championship game of the Big West Conference Tournament for the first time in five years. While he has made his name on the basketball court, Theus' first love is baseball.
"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I've been such a big baseball fan my entire life," said Theus. "I was a baseball fanatic before I ever picked up a basketball."
Theus is dedicated to extending his passion for sports to the community and announces the Reggie Theus Fantasy Basketball Experience, which will take place from Friday, Sept. 19 to Sunday, Sept. 21. Participants will be the first guests to play on the new Blacktop at The Matadome and will enjoy the following benefits:
