Exactly one year (3/10/10) after Cal State Northridge faced Cal State Fullerton in the first round of the 2010 Big West Tournament, the two teams meet again in the first round of this year's ampm Big West Tournament at the Honda Center ... By virtue of its third place finish during the Big West Conference regular season, CSUN is the third seed while CSF is the sixth seed ... Thursday's game is schedule to start around 8:30 p.m. or starts 30 minutes after the conclusion of the 6 p.m. contest between #2 seed Cal Poly and #7 UC Riverside ... At Noon, top-seed and regular season league champion Long Beach State faces #8 UC Irvine followed by #4 seed Pacific against #5 UC Santa Barbara ... The four winners on Thursday will meet in two semi-final games on Friday (3/11/11) starting at 6:30 pm ... The ampm Big West Tournament championship game is slated for Saturday, March 12, 2001, at 5 p.m. ... The championship game will be televised on ESPN2 ... Last year, the Titans scored a 84-76 victory (3/10/11) over Cal State Northridge during first round play at the league tournament at the Anaheim Convention Center ... In the 63-game history between the two teams, Cal State Fullerton holds a 3-2 edge over CSUN on a neutral court ... Cal State Fullerton holds a 35-28 overall lead over Cal State Northridge in the series ... However, CSUN swept the regular season series this year against the Titans.
