Los Angeles, Ca. - And so the "publicity parade" continues for Cal State Northridge Men's Basketball.
Following its dramatic NCAA Tournament game against nationally-ranked Memphis in Kansas City last week, the Los Angeles-area media has continued to give the Matadors basketball program a healthy dose of positive attention.
Matador head coach Bobby Braswell will be an in-studio guest on 710 ESPN Radio Los Angeles on Wednesday from 2-3 p.m. Braswell will give his insights on the upcoming NCAA "Sweet 16" plus a recap on the Matadors 2008-09 season. During the past year, the Matadors won the Big West regular and tournament titles, and advanced to the NCAA's for the second time in school history.
Braswell, who recently completed his 13th season at his alma mater (Cal State Northridge), was a guest commentator on the Channel 2 post-game NCAA Tournament program last Saturday night with host Jim Hill.
Braswell has also been a guest on the Petros Papadakis Show on KLAC, 570 AM Los Angeles.
On Tuesday, Matador guard Mark Hill was a guest on 710 ESPN Radio Los Angeles.
And that's only the beginning. On Thursday (March 26) from 7-8 p.m. at The Matadome, a pep rally to congratulate the Matador basketball team will be held to celebrate their tremendous season.
The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the event will start at 7 p.m.
The pep rally, which is FREE, will feature the players on this year's championship basketball team, the coaches and other distinguished guests.
Concessions will be on site to sell food, drinks and snacks.
During the 2008-09 campaign, Cal State Northridge captured the hearts of the university and the community with a winning season, the Big West regular season title, the Big West tournament crown, and a trip to the prestigious NCAA Tournament for the second time in school history.
