Northridge, Calif. - The Cal State Northridge basketball program is beginning to piece together its 2010-11 season schedule which will be completed sometime during the late summer.
One thing is certain. The Matadors will be competing in the fourth annual 76 Classic to be held on Thanksgiving weekend (Nov. 25, 26 and 28) at the Anaheim Convention Center.
The 2010 76 Classic includes Cal State Northridge, DePaul, Murray State, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Tulsa, UNLV, and Virginia Tech. Five of those teams played in the 2009-10 post-season - Murray State (NCAA), Oklahoma State (NCAA), UNLV (NCAA), Tulsa (NIT) and Virginia Tech (NIT).
The 76 Classic features four games each day through three days (Nov. 25, 26, 28). Each team will compete in one game per day, advancing through a bracket-tournament format. The two teams that remain undefeated will face off in the championship game, Nov. 28.
The Big West Conference will again serve as the host conference of the 76 Classic.
Eleven of the 12-games in the 76 Classic will be televised on ESPN2 or EPNU.
