HOLLISTER, Calif. - Former Cal State Northridge golfer Chris Satterlee made it two Matadors who advanced to the Second Qualifying Stage of PGA Q-School as he posted a score of seven under-par 281 to finish in a tie for 13th at San Juan Oaks Golf Club (Oct. 25-28).
On the San Juan Oaks par-72 course, Satterlee opened with back-to-back rounds of 69 (-3) before closing with an even-par 72 in round three and a one under 71 in the final round. He finished tied with six other players for 13th-place claiming a spot in the Second Qualifying Stage. Only the top-22 spots advance from the First Qualifying Stage.
Satterlee, who competed for the Matadors in 2007-08, joins Nick Delio who advanced out of out the First Stage on Oct. 21 at Dayton Valley Golf Club in Dayton, Nev. Satterlee will open the Second State of qualifying (Nov. 16-19) at Hombre Golf Club in Panama City, Fla. The Hombre Golf Club features the Bad and Ugly courses.
Delio will open the Second Stage at the same time at the Plantation Reserve Golf Course & Club in Plantation, Fla.
