Low Scores at Wyoming Cowboy Classic But Matadors 23rd After 36 Holes

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Cal State Northridge matched its lowest 36-hole total of the season but eight schools are under par after two rounds of the Cowboy Classic at Talking Stick G.C. 

The Matadors posted team scores of 290-295 to finish Monday's two rounds at 585 but Northridge is 23rd out of 23 teams in the field. Eight schools are under par as San Diego and Kansas State lead the team chase at 15-under.

Junior Chris Russo opened with solid rounds of 73-71 but is in 70th-place at four-over 144. Senior Jason Rosenkranz is one shot back of Russo in a tie for 77th-place at five-over 145 following rounds of 71-74.

Shane Blanchard is tied for 96th seven-over 147 after posting scores of 73-74 which is easily Blanchard's low 36-hole total of the season. Ryan Green and Steven Molumby are both tied for 111th at 10-over 150 after Green posted rounds of 73-77 and Molumby finished at 74-76.

The final round is scheduled for Tuesday.
