Matadors Tied for 11th After Two Rounds at Pepperdine's Jones Invitational

SOMIS, Calif. - After struggling in round one, the Cal State Northridge men's golf team regrouped in round two and is tied for 11th after 36 holes of the Jones Invitational Monday at Saticoy Country Club.

The Matadors opened with a team round of 321 Monday morning which dropped them well back in 12th place. A team 310 in the second round pulled CSUN even with Lipscomb at 631 heading into Tuesday's final round. USC is the team leader at nine over-par 585 followed by San Diego State (589) in the 12-team field.

Senior Ryan Green bounced back from a tough outing in Utah two weeks ago as he sits in a tie for 16th place at six-over 150. Green opened with a four-over 76 before closing with a two-over 74 which is is one shot off his best through 36 holes this season.

Kyler Sauer is currently tied for 39th at 12-over 156 after posting rounds of 79-77, Michael O'Connor is tied for 59th at 19-over 163 following rounds of 84-79, Aden Louez is 62nd at 164 (+20) after scores of 82-82 and Steven Molumby is 65th at 168 (+24) after posting scores of 88-80 on Monday.

Tuesday's final round gets underway at 7:40 a.m., with CSUN going off beginning at 8:30 a.m.
