Matador Men's Golf to Host 23rd Annual Ben Graham Memorial Golf Tournament

Nov. 21, 2008

Cal State Northridge men's golf will host the 23rd Annual Ben Graham Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday, Dec. 8 at Valencia Country Club.

The tournament has raised more than $165,000 to create a golf scholarship in Graham's name at Cal State Northridge. All proceeds from this tournament will benefit the Ben Graham Scholarship Fun and the men's golf program at Northridge.

The tournament, hosted by PGA Tour player and CSUN alumnus Bob Burns, is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start at Valencia C.C. Entry fees are all-inclusive (green fees, mulligans, contests, raffle, lunch and dinner) and there will be no additional buy-ins on the day of the event. The tournament format will be four-person shamble (play off best drive, play own ball).

Ben Graham was a member of the Cal State Northridge golf team from 1975-1979. He was a three-time NCAA All-American and a major contributer to the golf program.
