Manabu Kaji appeared in two matches for the Matadors in 2011 and compiled a 2-0-0 record with one shutout. Kaji made four saves on the season and did not allow a goal. He was the starter in the season-opening win against Canisius and also started in the season-finale against Cal State Fullerton.
Kaji appeared in one game for Cal State Northridge in 2010 and did not allow a goal.
Kaji started in goal for head coach Fred Bruce-Oliver in 2008. He recorded 118 saves in 21 games for the Owls, who went 10-7-4. For his efforts, Kaji was named to the All-League First Team.
KAGOSHIMA CHUOU HIGH SCHOOL
Kaji played soccer for three seasons for coach Sota Goryo. He was named to the First Team in the State League of Kagoshima, as well as an All-State player in 2005 and 2006. Kaji graduated in 2006 with a 3.5 GPA.
