NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - With the Matadors Men's Soccer team preparing for their match tomorrow at UC Santa Barbara, not all of their thoughts will be focused on the pitch as they also remember the life of one of their former teammates.
Jay Singh was in the middle of his inaugural season with the Matadors, when his untimely passing occurred at his home in San Bruno, California.
After playing two seasons at Loyola Marymount, Singh transferred to Northridge to join a soccer team in the midst of enhancing their reputation as one of the toughest programs to face on the west coast.
Singh redshirted during his only season with the Matadors in to further develop his potential for success in his final two years of eligibility.
"The Cal State Northridge soccer team, players, and staff miss Jay, and are thinking of him and his family on the day of his passing." stated head coach Terry Davila.
