Gavin Fallen took fourth in the discus at the Big West Championships (May 12) ... posted a CSUN season-best and persnal career-best of 165-5 (50.43) ... placed seventh in 160-4 (48.87) at the Steve Scott Invitational (Apr. 29) ... also posted a season-best of 124-0 (37.81) in the hammer at the Cal State LA Twilight Open (Apr. 19) ... did not compete during the 2012 indoor season.

2011
Fallen redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons for the Matadors.

FOOTHILL HIGH SCHOOL
Competed in track & field and football all four years at Foothill High School in Tustin, Calif. ... threw the discus and shot and also competed in the high jump for the Knights ... best in the discus was 162-6 and best shot put was 45-0 ... was an offensive lineman for the football team ... graduated in 2010 with a 3.0 grade point average.
