Alexander Oleata posted a season-best of 13-7.25 (4.15) in
the pole vault at the Asics/Steve Scott Invitational where he
finished 20th ... also cleared 13-3.50 (4.05) at the
Pomona-Pitzer Invitational ... did not compete during the indoor
season.
SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE
Oleata spent two seasons at Southwestern College in Chula Vista,
Calif. ... was a pole vaulter and decathlete for the Jaguars and
coach Tinie Campbell in 2009 and 2010 ... best in the pole vault
was 14-0.75 ... earned his degree in Business Administration in
2010 with a 3.4 grade point average.
EASTLAKE HIGH SCHOOL
Earned letters in both track & field and cross country at
Eastlake High School in Chula Vista, Calif. ... earned the Coaches
Award as a senior in 2007 and was named Most Improved and Best
Distance Runner in 2004 ... was a distance runner and pole vaulted
as a senior in 2007 ... top height was 12-6 and best times were
2:00 in the 800 meters and 4:35 in the 1,600 meters ... graduated
