Jakub Ciesla Signs National Letter of Intent with Matador Men's Volleyball

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Cal State Northridge men's volleyball coach Jeff Campbell has announced the signing of Jakub Ciesla to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Matadors.

Ciesla, a 6-5 opposite hitter from Olympic Heights High School in Boca Raton, Fla., is the first player to sign with Cal State Northridge during the early signing period.

Ciesla earned second team All-Area accolades from the Palm Beach Post as a junior as well as All-County honorable mention honors. Ciesla, who was a first team All-Florida High School Athletic Associtaion selection for the Lions, also competes for the Ocean Bay Volleyball 18 Quicksilver squad. He is also a National Honor Society recipient in the classroom.

"We're very excited about Jakub coming into our volleyball program," said Campbell. "We believe he's an outstanding opposite with excellent volleyball skills. He moves very well and we think he has an incredible upside. We're looking forward to getting him in the gym and having the opportunity to work with him."
