Jeff Campbell Lends His Volleyball Expertise at LAUSD Coaches Meeting

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Cal State Northridge head men's volleyball coach Jeff Campbell was the guest speaker at the Los Angeles Unified School District's annual boys and girls volleyball coaches meeting at Van Nuys High School Saturday, Aug. 17.

Campbell, along with Matador assistant coach Theo Edwards, gave a 15-minute talk before the two coaches led the group in a 20-minute volleyball clinic.

"I spoke to the group on what it takes to be an athlete at Cal State Northridge and to play volleyball at the Division I level," said Campbell. "I also touched on the positive influence my high school coach was on me and what an honor it is to coach and a great responsibility as well."

During the clinic, Campbell and Edwards worked with the group on passing, serve-receive as well as defensive strategies, including blocking and positioning.

"It was a great opportunity to reach out to all the coaches," added Campbell. "I thought it went very well and I was very happy to speak with the coaches."
