For the game, CSUN shot 44.8 percent (30-of-67) from the field and 45 percent (9-of-20) from 3-point range. Northridge finished the game with 20 steals, nine blocks and 23 turnovers. The Master's finished with 13 steals, one block and 28 turnovers.

Individually, Jackson and White had solid games off the bench for Northridge. Jackson added nine rebounds, two assists and a steal in 19 minutes. White finished with six rebounds, five assists and four steals in 24 minutes.

Freshman Marta Masoni scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers, in her unofficial CSUN debut. Fellow rookie Jasmine Johnson was the fifth Northridge player to finish in double-figures, scoring 12 points in 18 minutes off the bench.

CSUN officially opens the 2012-13 season on Friday. Nov. 9 with a home game against the University of Portland. Tip off between the Matadors and Pilots is set for 5 p.m.

The game is part of a CSUN basketball doubleheader in which the men's program will then take on Pepperdine at 7:30 p.m. A separate ticket is required for both contests.
