Marta Masoni Leaves Matadors For Personal Reasons
NORTHRIDGE, Calif. ---
Cal State Northridge freshman Marta Masoni has left the team due to personal reasons and is not expected to return, CSUN head coach Jason Flowers announced. A 6-2 perimeter player from Taranto, Italy, Masoni averaged 12.4 points in 23 starts for the Matadors.
"It is unfortunate to see Marta leave, but she has the full love and support of the entire CSUN women's basketball program," Flowers said. "We appreciate all the work Marta has put in and wish her, and her family, the best of luck going forward."
In 23 games at CSUN, Masoni connected on 65 3-pointers, the second-most in school history for a single season. She scored a season-high 22 points on two occasions and had six 3-pointers in two different games.
