All three will graduate in the spring of 2011. Their head coach, Jason Flowers, was proud to see the trio honored for their sustained excellence in the classroom.
"These young women have excelled in all facets of their collegiate careers and truly embody the concept of the student-athlete," Flowers said. "It was a pleasure to work with and coach these outstanding individuals and this honor is just a small taste of the success they are sure to experience in their futures."
In all, 22 basketball student-athletes from the nine member institutions were recognized by the league. To be eligible, the student-athlete needed to maintain a 3.2 cumulative GPA and appear in 50 percent of their team's games.
