PALM DESERT, Calif. - A team tournament low round of 297 vaulted the Cal State Northridge women's golf team from seventh to second at the conclusion of the Wyoming Cowgirl Intercollegiate Sunday at the Classic Club/Troon Golf.

Guce, who has third and ninth place finishes in two previous fall tournaments, wound up carding rounds of 69-74-70 for a total of 213 her low 54-hole total this season.

"Clariss strung together a great performance, an individual win in the Golfstat rankings," said Matador head coach Gina Umeck. "Momentum is a powerful thing, and this team has created it. There's a positive feeling of being creative with challenges, and it's a true honor to be part of this program."
