Margo Dionisio and Kendall Patten Named NGCA All-American Scholar Recipients

The National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Teams for Division I, II & III were announced with a total of 494 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
Dionisio, a freshman from Whittier, Calif., led the Matadors in 2009-10 with a 77.7 stroke average in her first season of collegiate golf. She earned honorable mention All-Big West honors after posting four top-10 finishes and one top-20 finish during the 2009-10 campaign. Dionisio wrapped up her first season at Northridge with an 11th-place finish at the Big West Championships.
Patten, a sophomore from Quartz Hill, Calif., finished the season with an 82.0 stroke average after competing in four tournaments. She posted the first top-20 finish of her Matador career at the CSU Bakersfield Spring Invitational where she posted a two-round 168.
