NORTHRIDGE, Calif. --- The Cal State Northridge women's softball program has released its 2012 schedule, head coach Tairia Flowers announced. The Matadors will face a flurry of stiff competition in several preseason tournaments before taking on the challenges of claiming the Big West Conference title.
"We're excited to have a schedule that will challenge us throughout the season," Flowers said. "We have a lot of home games, including a home tournament, and I look forward to another always competitive Big West season."
For the third-straight year, CSUN opens the season at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz., from Feb. 10-12. At the event, which is hosted by Arizona State, the Matadors will face five teams that qualified for the NCAA Tournament: Stanford, Syracuse, Western Michigan, Nebraska and Arizona.
