NORTHRIDGE, Calif. ---
The Cal State Northridge softball team (8-15) lost 7-1 to DePaul and 3-1 to Weber State Sunday at the UNLV Eller Media Stadium Tournament in Las Vegas, Nev. The Matadors' offense struggled all day to score, managing just one run in each of the losses.
The Matadors dropped their first game Sunday morning to DePaul, 7-1. Mikayla Thielges blasted her fourth home run of the season and 23rd of her career, but the Blue Demon offense proved too potent in the second game between the two teams in Las Vegas.

Tait lasted 3.2 innings and allowed four earned runs and three walks to go with three strikeouts. Jennifer Tyler had a brief appearance in relief and Brianna Elder closed ot the game with 2.2 innings of one-hit softball to go with two strikeouts.
