2014 All-Big West Honorable Mention


Linn appeared in 54 games and made 53 starts in her junior season … named All-Big West Honorable Mention … batted a career-high .318 and also had a career-high 55 base hits and 29 runs scored … blasted three doubles and first three career triples … stole a career-high eight stolen bases on the year … posted 16 multi-hit games, the second-most on the team … batted .304 with seven runs, a double, a triple and two stolen bases against Big West foes … had a season-high three hits in four games … scored a career-high four runs in a win over Boise State … drove in a career-high two RBIs in a win over Bakersfield … sported a .961 fielding percentage in 102 defensive chances.


Linn appeared in 52 games and made 50 starts in her second season at CSUN … batted .240 overall with 31 hits … added 17 runs, four doubles, five RBIs, eight walks, seven sacrifice bunts and nine stolen bases … finished second on the team in stolen bases and third in sac bunts and runs scored … batted a team-high .304 against Big West opponents, collecting 14 hits in 21 games … added five runs, one double, two RBIs, three walks, three sac bunts and two steals in Big West play … had a career-high four hits in a win over Pacific … tied a career high two runs in two different games … had six multi-hit games … her nine stolen bases came in nine different games.


Linn showed promise in the outfield in her first season with the Matadors … batted .194 for the season with 13 hits, three runs scored, six walks, two sac hits and two stolen bases … collected nine hits in 24 at-bats during Big West play, leading CSUN with a .375 average in conference play … had a season-high two hits on three occasions … scored a run in three different games … posted a .955 fielding percentage in the outfield.

Linn was a four-year letter winner and also served as a team captain for the Centurions and coach Julie Watson ... earned all-league honors following her final three playing seasons ... graduated in 2011. 


Born on July 2, 1993 ... daughter of Laurel and Joe Linn ... has two sisters, Karah and Halle, and one brother, Kyle ... favorites include the LA Dodgers and the beach, and watching "How I Met Your Mother" with teammate Sydney House  ... her advice to young people is "work hard now because it pays off later" ... cannot imaging going a week without her phone and In N Out ... lists her parents as her greatest heroes ... undecided on a major.
