CSUN Softball Announces July 2011 Summer Camps

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. -
The Cal State Northridge softball program has announced the addition of two one-day camps at Matador Diamond in July. On July 11, the Matador softball program will host a Showcase Camp limited to 40 participants interested in pursuing a college softball career. The next day, July 12, Matador Diamond will serve as host to a youth camp designed to teach participants the fundamentals of the game in a fun environment.
The Showcase Camp will run from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Matador Diamond and costs $180 per participant. If a team, whether high school or travel ball, brings at least six players to the camp, the fee drops to $135 per person. The camp is open to any and all girls in grades 8-12 and will feature position-specific drills, offensive exercises & game situations.
The next day, Matador Diamond will serve host for a youth camp open to any and all players in grades 3-8 and limited to 125 participants. The cost for the day is $75 and includes a T-Shirt. The camp is geared towards young players looking to learn new tools and skills in all aspects of the game. The camp will focus on fundamentals as well as incorporating games and scrimmages and features hands-on training in a fun, enjoyable atmosphere.
