NORTHRIDGE, Calif. -
Twenty Cal State Northridge student-athletes from eight spring sports were named to the 2011 Big West Academic All-Conference team, the conference office announced Thursday.
To be eligible for the All-Academic team, student-athletes have to maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average, complete one full year at the member institution (CSUN) prior to the season for which the award is being received (at least a sophomore academically) and must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
In all, the Matadors were represented in each sport eligible for recognition with the exception of men’s tennis, which is not fielded by the university. Below is a list of the student-athletes who earned Academic All-Conference honors for Spring 2011:
