Cheung finished 12-7 in singles play and 11-10 in doubles play in her senior season … received the ITA West Region Arthur Ashe Jr. Award for Sportsmanship and Leadership … played primarily at the fifth and sixth draw, where she went 11-6 overall … picked up notable victories over Cal Poly, LMU, Florida International, Montana, Boise State, New Mexico State and Cal State Fullerton … worked with several teammates in doubles play … went 6-3 in No. 3 action with Scout Shutter … tandem recorded notable victories over UMKC, Dartmouth, New Mexico State and Cal State Fullerton … ended her Matador career with a 46-28 (.621) singles record and 39-28 (.582) in doubles play.
In her third season with the Matadors, Cheung posted a 9-8 singles record and a 13-8 doubles record … teamed with Maria Pistalu to earn All-Big West Doubles Honorable Mention … duo played primarily at No. 2 draw and duo posted victories over UC Santa Barbara twice, New Mexico State, UC Riverside, Eastern Michigan, Pacific, New Mexico, UC Davis and Cal Poly … in singles action, Cheung recorded notable victories over UC Riverside, Eastern Michigan, Stetson, Pacific, New Mexico, UC Davis and Cal Poly.
Cheung had another solid season for the Matadors in 2012, her second year with the Matadors … posted an 11-7 overall record and a 5-3 mark against Big West opponents in singles play … finished the year 1-0 at No. 4, 2-0 at No. 5 and 8-7 at No. 6 … had a season-long four-match winning streak … recorded impressive victories over UCSB twice, Furman, Portland, Pacific, Cal Poly and LMU … went 11-6 on the year in doubles play, teaming solely with Maria Pistalu … tandem went 10-6 on the year … they played and were victorious in a No. 2 doubles contest over UCSB … also recorded notable victories over Gonzaga, Furman, Portland, UCI, Pacific, Cal Poly and San Diego State … ended her sophomore season with a career record of 25-13 (.658) in singles and 16-10 (.615) in doubles play … after two seasons, Cheung’s singles winning percentage ranks eighth in school history.
Cheung went 14-6 in singles play and 4-4 in doubles in her first year at CSUN ... the 14 singles victories were the second-most on the team ... Cheung played primarily at the fifth and sixth draw in singles action ... recorded notable victories over Nevada, USC, Hawai'i, San Diego State, Georgetown, Pacific and Cal Poly ... secured match-winning point in CSUN's quarterfinal upset over Cal Poly in the 2011 Big West Championships ... posted a 2-3 record in singles play against league opposition ... teamed with Nigora Sirojiddinova (2-2), Ryma Korab (1-0), Nina Jaworowski (0-2) Anna Yang (1-0) and Sabrina Man-Son-Hing (1-0) in doubles action throughout the course of the season ... notched notable doubles wins over Nevada and Columbia.
