April 6, 2013 Matador Tennis Falls 4-0 to UC Irvine on Senior Day The Cal State Northridge women's tennis team (9-8, 3-4 Big West) lost 4-0 to No. 30 UC Irvine Saturday afternoon in a Big West Conference match at Matador Tennis Complex. On their senior day, the Matadors rebounded from a sluggish start in doubles play to give the Anteaters some issues in singles play before ultimately losing.
March 30, 2013 Matador Tennis Drops 7-0 Decision to Long Beach State The Cal State Northridge women's tennis team (9-7, 3-3 Big West) lost 7-0 to Long Beach State Saturday afternoon in a Big West Conference match at the Rhodes Tennis Center. CSUN threatened to take the doubles point and Alexis Marquez forced a decisive third set, but the Matadors were swept by the 49ers.

The Matadors snapped a brief two-match skid by sweeping the doubles matches and posting five singles wins to defeat the Panthers.
March 21, 2013 Northridge Tennis Falls 5-2 to Iowa The Cal State Northridge women's tennis team (8-5) lost 5-2 to Iowa Thursday afternoon in a non-conference match at Matador Tennis Complex. Seniors Anna Yang and Sabrina Man-Son-Hing were both successful in singles and doubles, but it was not enough to upset the nationally ranked Hawkeyes.

The Matadors continued their strong doubles play, took two straight-set victories in signles and watched junior Lorraine Cheung battle for a three-set victory to clinch the victory.

CSUN took the doubles point and then secured singles victories from Sabrina Man-Son-Hing, Lorraine Cheung and Anna Yang, who won at the No. 2 draw to give the Matadors the victory.
March 13, 2013 Maria Pistalu Named Big West Women's Tennis Player of the Week Cal State Northridge senior Maria Pistalu was named the Big West Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday. Pistalu compiled a perfect 3-0 record in No. 1 singles action and 3-0 mark in No. 2 doubls play last week for the Matadors.

Senior Anna Yang won the singles consolation draw and teamed with fellow senior Sabrina Man-Son-Hing to win the main draw in doubles competition.
May 1, 2012 Four Matadors Earn All-Big West Women's Tennis Honors The Cal State Northridge women's tennis team had four of its members recognized by the Big West Conference coaches and earn a place on the 2012 All-Big West Team. Senior Jennifer Sher received First Team honors in both singles and doubles for the second-straight year while Nigora Sirojiddinova earned Honorable Mention honors in both singles and doubles. Finally, Anna Yang and Sabrina Man-Son-Hing received Doubles Honorable Mention accolades.

In action last week, Yang won her third-straight singles contest and improved to 8-6 on the season with a straight-set victory over UC Irvine's Stephanie Hammel.
