Marissa Rossi qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Round (May 23-25) in the triple jump in her first season at CSUN ... posted a best mark of 39-4 (11.99) and finished 38th ... finished third in both the triple jump and javelin and was sixth in the long jump and  at the Big West Championships (May 10-11) ... jumped a season-best 40-4.75 (12.31) in the triple jump which ranks fourth on the CSUN all-time Freshmen list ... posted a season-best 19-0 (5.79) at both the conference championships and the Steve Scott Invitational (Apr. 28) ... threw a season-best 135-10 (41.41) at the Big West Championships which is the sixth-best mark in Matador history and ranks third on the freshman list ... INDOOR SEASON: placed 16th in the long jump at the MPSF Championships (Feb. 23) with a best of 17-2 (5.23) ... season-best of 18-9.75 (5.73) came at the NYU Team Challenge (Jan. 19) where she finished first ... also qualified for the MPSF Championships in the triple jump where she finished 16th at 35-1 (10.69) ... best triple jump of the indoor season 36-5 (11.10) at the Great Dane Classic (Jan. 18). 


CALABASAS HIGH SCHOOL
Rossi lettered in both track & field and volleyball at Calabasas High School in Calabasas, Calif. ... was a three-time All-Marmonte League performer for the Coyotes track & field team ... competed in the long jump, triple jump, 100 meters and discus as a senior for coach Donna Watts ... was an all-league outside hitter for the volleyball team as a junior and senior ... was named Scholar Athlete of the Year ... graduated in 2012 with a 3.5 grade point average.
