Haylee Varner capped her Matador career with a seventh-place finish in the javelin at the Big West Championships ... best mark was 121-7 (37.07) which was good for two points for the conference champion Matador women ... season-best came at the USC Quad Meet where she placed fifth with a top throw of 139-5 (42.49) ... did not compete during the indoor season.

2010
Varner advanced to her first NCAA West Region Championships in the javelin ... finished 31st with a best of 140-9 (42.91) ... took fourth at the Big West Championship with a best of 137-8 (41.96) ... threw a season-best of 147-5 (44.94) which was good for third at the Cal-Nevada Championship (Mar. 27-28) ... her distance ranks seventh in Matador history ... did not compete during the indoor season.

2009
Finished fifth in the javelin at her first Big West Outdoor Championship ... tossed a best of 132-1 (40.27) to finish three spots behind teammate Stephanie Rallls ... posted a season-best of 135-9 (41.39) at the Cal-Nevada Champinships (Mar. 29) which was good for fifth place ... did not compete during the indoor season.

BAKERSFIELD COLLEGE
Spent two seasons (2006-08) at Bakersfield College in Bakersfield, Calif. ... competed in both track & field and volleyball for the Renegades ... was cocahed by her sister Amber in 2008 ... earned first team all-league honors in volleyball in 2007-08 ... earned her associate of arts degree with a 3.87 grade point average.

BAKERSFIELD HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered in track & field and volleyball at Bakersfield High School in Bakersfield, Calif. ... threw the shot and discus in 2003 and the shot in 2004 ... was also a middle hitter and team captain for the Drillers volleyball team ... graduated in 2006 with a 3.8 grade point average.
