Cal State Northridge will hold its first-ever youth volleyball camp this summer. The camp, geared toward girls and boys in grades fifth through eighth grade, will take place July 18-21 at CSUN's Matadome and Activity Center.

"The purpose of our camp is two-fold," said Stork. "We hope to kindle an interest in volleyball to a player who has had some exposure but haven't really tried yet.

"The camp is also for the volleyball enthusiast who wants to move up the ladder within their middle school and also prepare them for either their club or high school team in the coming years. We do a very good job of teaching the fundamentals and making it a fun environment."

The camp is for players of all skill levels and will feature Northridge head coach Jeff Stork as well as Matador assistant coaches Susie Terrusa and Alicia Robinson as instructors.

"The staff we have are outstanding teachers of volleyball skills," said Stork. "I think the players that come into our camp will find it enjoyable and will also learn a whole lot of volleyball."

The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each day and the cost is $160.
