Thousand Oaks, Calif. – Jenny Jamison and Molly Henehan combined for seven goals to pace 15th-ranked Cal State Northridge to a 11-7 victory over Chapman University on Saturday afternoon at the Cal Lutheran Invitational.
Jamison scored four times while Henehan chipped in with three goals.
CSUN raced to a 3-1 first period lead and were never threatened the rest of the game.
Earlier in the day, CSUN recorded its largest margin of victory of the year with a 16-4 victory over Occidental on Saturday morning at the Cal Lutheran Invitational.
The contest was never in doubt as the Matadors jumped to a 3-1 first period lead, and advanced the margin to 8-3 at halftime.
CSUN outscored Occidental, 5-0, in the final period to post the 12-point victory.
Seven different CSUN players scored at least one goal. Marisa Young led CSUN with five goals, three in the first period. Kelcie Ferreira added three goals. Jenny Jamison, Molly Henehan and Lindsy Nelson each scored two goals.
