#14 CSUN Hosts #16 UC Santa Barbara in Big West Tilt

Northridge, Calif. – Cal State Northridge, ranked 14th in the nation, will conclude its home season with a Big West Conference water polo game against 16th-ranked UC Santa Barbara on Friday, April 19, at 4:00 pm at Matador Pool.

The Matadors are 20-11 overall and 2-4 in the Big West Conference. UCSB is 19-12 overall and 2-4 in the conference.

Before the game, Cal State Northridge will honor senior Leah Janke, who will be playing in her final home game at Cal State Northridge.

Has scored 22 goals with a .440 shooting percentage … Scored a season-high four goals against Pomona-Pitzer (1/27/13) … Scored three goals against UC San Diego (2/10/13) … Among the team leaders in assists (31) … Dished out a season-high four assists against Cal State San Bernardino (2/2/13) and Bucknell (3/14/13) … Had three assists against Pomona-Pitzer (1/27/13) and Concordia (2/2/13) … Collected three steals against Cal State Bakersfield (2/24/13) … Has collected 122 assists, sixth-best in school history.

Lindsy Nelson
continues to lead the Matadors in scoring. Nelson's three goals in the team's last game against Hawai'i (4/13/13) gives her 63 goals which is seventh-best for a single season in school history. Marisa Young has 47 goals, second-best on the Matadors.

Kiernan Davis now has 253 saves this year, eighth-best for a single season in Matador history. 

Freshman Samantha Murphy has been a consistent offensive leader this year for UCSB. Murphy has recorded 66 goals. Another freshman, Jessie Porter, has 51 goals to rank second on the team.

Senior Ruth Milne is among the top goalkeepers in the nation with 165 saves in 2013.
