Named first team All-Big West Conference for a second straight season ... Voted CSUN's MVP Offensive Player ... Third on the team in scoring with 53 goals (#8 in the Big West Conference, #9 for a single season at CSUN) ... Scored two or more goals in 15 games ... Scored a career-high five goals against Hartwick (2/13/11) ... Tallied 143 career goals (10 goals in 2008, 37 goals in 2009, 43 goals in 2010, 53 goals in 2011), fifth-best in school history ... Her 114 ejections drawn was tops on the team in 2011 ... Her 26 steals this year were fifth-best on the team ... Had 101 career steals, eighth-best in school history ... Collected 27 assists, fifth-best on the team.  

2010 Season
Honorable Mention All-American by the Association of College Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) ... First Team All-Big West Conference ... Third on the team in scoring with 43 goals (#7 in the BWC) ... Scored at least one goal in 20 games ... Scored two or more goals in 14 games including a career-high five goals against nationally-ranked Hartwick (2/14/10), and four goals against Cal Baptist (1/30/10) ... Led the team in games played this year (35 out of 36 games), kick outs drawn (82), and was tied for second in steals (36) and eighth in assists (14).

2009 Season
Given CSUN's Work Ethic Award ... Emerged as one of the team's top scorers with 37, third-best on the Matadors (1.03 gpg, #10 in the Big West) ... Tallied 13 goals in her freshman season last year ... Scored season-highs in goals (4) in games against Cal Lutheran (3/7/09) and Cal State Monterey Bay (3/8/09) ... Scored nine goals at the Cal Lutheran Tournament to earn Big West Player of the Week honors.

2008 Season
One of eight players to score in double digits ... Tallied ten goals along with 13 steals and three assists ... Scored a season-high three goals in the 7-6 overtime win at Pacific (3/21/08) ... Collected two goals vs Arizona State (4/24/08) at the MPSF Tournament ... Named team Rookie of the Year.

High School
A two-sport athlete for the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks, Sonoda collected four letters for both the water polo and swim teams ... Tabbed All-Southwestern League and All-CIF as a sophomore, junior, and senior ... Helped lead her squad to league championships the same years ... guided her squad to 32-1 record and a CIF championship as a senior ... Elected captain as a junior and as a senior ... graduated in 2007.
