2025 CSUN Hall of Fame Announcement
History of the CSUN Athletics Hall of Fame
The CSUN Hall of Fame recognizes the men, women, and Matador teams that have distinguished themselves in athletics, by sport or by meritorious efforts, as undergraduates or after leaving the university.
CSUN has produced a large number of talented student-athletes and administrative personnel who have contributed to the growth of the university, their sport(s), and their communities.
The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics recognizes those individual efforts by providing a capstone award for distinguished careers. Established in 1981, the Matador Hall of Fame originated through the vision of then-men's athletic director, Bob Hiegert, and women's athletic director, Dr. Judith Brame. They believed the Hall of Fame would provide an excellent opportunity for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics to stay in touch with its alumni and friends.
Since 1981, and including the 2025 induction class, the CSUN Hall of Fame will have inducted 131 outstanding members and teams.
