Beth Onestinghel-Woll was inducted into the CSUN Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009. Onestinghel-Woll, who lettered for the CSUN Softball team from 1985 to 1988, distinguished herself as a member of the 1985 and 1987 NCAA Champion teams.
A cornerstone of the powerhouse teams that won two NCAA Championships, Onestinghel-Woll gained first-team All-American honors in 1988 and was a four-time all-conference selection. She still holds the school record for career triples (22) and is still ranked in the CSUN Top 10 in many categories.
As a junior outfielder, Onestinghel-Woll hit .379 and set a school record at the time with 39 RBI's. She also earned All-Tournament honors during their undefeated 1987 title run.
Onestinghel-Woll served as the senior co-captain and starting center fielder for the team's 1988 national title defense campaign.
A1989 CSUN graduate with a degree in kinesiology, upon induction, Onestinghel-Woll was the eighth former Matador softball player to be inducted into the CSUN Hall of Fame.
