Cliff Higgins

Cliff Higgins was inducted into the CSUN Athletics Hall of Fame in 1990. Higgins is one of the most decorated men's basketball players in CSUN history who lettered three seasons from 1981 to 1984.
Higgins was a premier player in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) during CSUN's NCAA Division II era. He was an All-American and two-time CCAA Player of the Year.
Higgins scored a career-high 35 points on Dec. 16, 1983 against Cal Lutheran and went on to score the second-most points in school history upon his graduation with 1,221 total points.Â
He set eight CSUN career records over the course of his Matador career. In 1984, Higgins showcased his talents to a national audience at the NABC East-West All-Star Game, which served as the premier postseason college All-Star showcase for top graduating seniors.
Currently, Higgins is just 1-of-12 CSUN players to ever record over 1,000 points and 500 rebounds over a career. He still appears on six different all-time CSUN career and season top-10 lists.Â
Nicknamed "Windex" for his elite ability to clean the backboard of rebounds. His outstanding collegiate career culminated in his selection by the Golden State Warriors in the seventh round (147th overall pick) of the historic 1984 NBA Draft.
