Heidi Rose was inducted into the CSUN Athletics Hall of Fame in 1995. One of the most decorated players in the program's history, Rose was a member of the CSUN women's tennis team from 1979 to 1982.
She posted a career win-loss record of 74-27 for the Matadors. Rose achieved the No. 2 national ranking in 1982, playing in the NCAA Division II women's individual finals that year.
Rose was a key member of the 1982 NCAA Division II National Champion Matador squad, as well as a member of the team that achieved the final No. 3 ranking by the AIAW in 1981. She was a three-time All-American, earning honors in 1980, 1981, and 1982.
Rose earned her bachelor's degree in marketing from CSUN in 1982. She went on to serve as an assistant coach for the Matadors in 1983.  The New Hampshire resident worked for Kearsarge Peg Company, Inc. and spent years teaching tennis and aerobics.
