Stacy Lim was inducted into the CSUN Athletics Hall of Fame in 1993. Lim was a four-year letterwinner for head coach Gary Torgeson's CSUN softball program from 1982 to 1985.
Lim was a foundational member of three consecutive NCAA Division II national championship teams at CSUN. During her career, the Matadors produced a record of 182-68-5, three NCAA Division I championships (1983-85), and one runner-up finish (1982). She earned All-Tournament honors at the 1983 tournament as a utility player and at the 1985 tournament as the starting catcher. Lim was named first-team All-American as a senior catcher in 1985, in addition to capturing All-California Collegiate Athletic Association and All-Region plaudits twice (1984 and 1985).
Lim ranks tied for fourth in CSUN Softball history in runs batted in (64), fifth in home runs (four), sixth in at-bats (639) and seventh in both hits (162) and games played (211). On CSUN's single-season charts, Lim ranks tied for eighth in at-bats (219, 1985) and triples (three, 1982). She also tied the school's individual game record for doubles.
A resident of Santa Clarita and a graduate of Tujunga's Verdugo Hills, Lim earned her bachelor's degree from CSUN in 1985 and has been a member of the Los Angeles Police Department since 1988. She received the LAPD Medal of Valor in 1991 and was named Officer of the Year by the American Police Hall of Fame in 1992.
