Vic Wilk was inducted into the CSUN Athletics Hall of Fame in 1990. One of the most decorated players in Matador history, Wilk lettered for head coach Bill Cullum and the CSUN Men's Golf team from 1979 to 1982.
Wilk was a four-time All-American for the Matadors, earning honorable mention accolades in 1979, second-team in 1980, third-team in 1981, and first-team in 1982. His career was highlighted by his win of the 1982 NCAA Division II Individual Championship. He claimed the championship with a four-round score of 288, also leading CSUN to the 1982 NCAA team championship.
Following his collegiate career, Wilk turned professional and played on the PGA Tour, Canadian Tour, and Nike Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour). His most notable professional victory came at the 1994 Nike Knoxville Open, making history as the first left-handed golfer to win an event on that tour. In his post-tour career, he became a highly regarded golf instructor, spending many years coaching at the Butch Harmon School of Golf.
Wilk, who earned his bachelor's degree in commercial recreation from CSUN in 1982, briefly served as an assistant coach for the Matador golf team in 1984.
