The CSUN men's soccer team proved to be road warriors in 2015, winning six true road matches on the season, and set the stage for some spectacular soccer in the future. The Matadors finished the year 8-8-3 overall and 4-4-2 in Big West Conference action to place second in the South Division and return to the Big West Tournament.  Trevor Morley was named Big West Conference Defensive Player of the Year and several other Matadors earned recognition as CSUN played strongly on the road and had a home slate filled with dramatic highlights.Â
After the season, Morley was selected by the Portland Timbers in the Major League Soccer Superdraft and CSUN has had five players selected in the MLS Superdraft since the 2012 season. Morley is the 14th player under Davila to be selected in the MLS Superdraft and the 15th Matador overall.Â
Earlier this spring, CSUN announced the signing of another strong recruiting class as the 2016 season will start in mid-August. The Matadors return a host of veteran student-athletes in 2016, including Shane Steffes, CSUN's Big West Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and Patrick Hickman, a two-time All-Big West selection on defense.Â
