VALENCIA, Calif. - The CSUN men's golf program hosted the 35th annual Ben Graham Memorial Tournament on Monday, Dec. 12 at Valencia Country Club.
A field of 84 players, including several CSUN men's golf alumni, took on the Valencia C.C. course to raise money for the CSUN men's golf program.
The foursome led by former Matadors Ryan Fowlkes and Nick Pikor took home the Team Gross title with a team total of 20-under-par. The four-player team of Gullixson, Pondella, Bolin and Garcia claimed the Team Net title at 22-under-par to also claim team championship honors.
Following 18 holes of golf in a shamble, players were treated to a taco bar and a silent auction. A complete list of winners is as follows:
Â
"This tournament is really a huge asset to our program," said CSUN head coach Jim Bracken. "It helps on the scholarship side but also on the operations side, enabling us to upgrade our schedule. It's also such a great social event for our alumni and boosters which keeps them engaged with the golf program."
Ben Graham was a member of the CSUN men's golf team from 1973-1978. He was a three-time NCAA All-American and was a major contributor to the golf program. Now in its 31st year, CSUN's annual Ben Graham Memorial Tournament has raised nearly $375,000 to benefit a golf scholarship in Graham's name at CSUN and the program's operational budget.
The 36th annual Ben Graham is scheduled for Aug. 28, 2023, please save the date.
