COACH MICHELLE WINKLER SAID
"Very proud of Fernanda. She attacked the golf course with 10 birdies over the three rounds, capitalizing on the par 5's. I also have to highlight Julia M's recovery and mental toughness. The second round she finished one-under the last 15 holes. The last round she finished even-par the last ten holes These are the two areas that will make our team stronger, and I'm very hopeful we will master these qualities in the tournaments to come."
The Matadors will return to tournament play Feb. 28 as CSUN travels to Seal Beach to compete in the Gold Rush hosted by Long Beach State at Old Ranch Country Club.
