BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The CSUN Women's Golf team posted rounds of 319 and 311 on Monday and is in 12th-place after two rounds of the Jackrabbit Invitational at Boulder City Golf Club.
Fernanda Sosa is the low Matador through 36 holes as she is tied for 43rd at (+10) 154. Sosa opened Monday with an eight-over 80 before carding a pair of birdies and 13 pars in finishing round two at two-over 74. She heads into the final round on Tuesday six shots out of the top-20.
As a team, the Matadors (630) are currently 12th in the 16-team field. Rutgers (576) shot a blistering nine-under 279 in the second round to move past South Dakota State into the team lead by three strokes. Anna-Maria Diederichs of Rutgers is the individual leader at six-under 138, four shots better than second place Hester Sicking of South Dakota State. A total of 91 players are competing in the field.

The Matadors will be paired with Bradley, North Dakota and the Rutgers B team for the final round which gets underway Tuesday morning with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

- Also for the Matadors, Julia Johansson had one birdie in an opening round seven-over 79 before carding a pair of birdies in the afternoon round, finishing at six-over 78. At (+13) 157, Johansson is currently tied for 54th place.
- Julia Myklebust is one shot behind Johansson in a tie for 61st at (+14) 158. Coming off her first top-25 finish of the season last weekend, Myklebust had one birdie on Monday in posting rounds of 80-78.
- Elle Laur is tied for 67th at (+17) 161 following rounds of 80-81 while Kiran Sangha completed the CSUN lineup but did not compete on Monday.
